A successful 2023 Preservation Celebration at the historic Hunt House in Lattimore, NC

Thank you to everyone who made our May 11, 2023 Preservation Celebration in honor of National Preservation Month a fun success! Special thanks to the Martin Family for hosting us at The Hunt House, Kathy Woody from Dressing On the Side, and Lloyd Williams with Got You Covered!

The Hunt House is a beautiful, five-bedroom, five-bathroom, 2800 sq. ft. home built by Dr. Robert Lee Hunt of Lattimore, NC, in 1926.  The home is surrounded by six acres of pasture and has an 18-hole disc golf course and walking trail located on the property behind the house. The Hunt House is located only 3.8 miles from the Washburn Switch Industrial Park, 30 minutes from the Tryon Equestrian Center, and 15 minutes from the American Legion World Series.  Each of the five bedrooms are fully furnished with handmade heart pine, cherry, or walnut bedroom suites. Most rooms feature hardwood floors and antique furnishings can be found throughout the home.

We were able to hear from Fred Blackley and Ted Alexander regarding current preservation projects in Cleveland County and enjoyed mingling with our supporters.
