Andrews-Royster House

The Historic Shelby Foundation has been hands-on in preserving the Andrews Royster Home located at 417 S. Washington Street since 2018. To learn more about this beautiful home, click here

2019 County Survey

In 2019, Cleveland County commissioned a survey to be done of buildings and homes built between 1945 to 1975. Each month, we will be highlighting specific buildings on our Facebook Page.

The Historic Shelby Foundation is privy to so many interesting historical lifestyle photos. In a mission to preserve, interest, and connect, we will be sharing some of these photos here and on social media

Our Story Boards

Learn more about our project in partnership with the Earl Scruggs Center and the Uptown Shelby Association started in 2022 to highlight uptown businesses and their history.

The Norville House

In 2006, the Historic Shelby Foundation purchased the Norville House located at 201 Maple Street. Learn more about this uniquely preserved home here.
